Randolphville 2nd-graders get a taste of gardening

Students in Alyssa Bubnick’s second-grade class at Randolphville Elementary School have been busy growing a classroom garden using a Gardyn plant tower!

As they cared for their plants, students observed how different vegetables and flowers grow from seed to harvest. They also enjoyed taste testing a variety of fresh lettuces and vegetables.

“It gave us encouragement to be gardeners!” one student shared. Others said, “I loved eating what we grew!" and "It was so fresh!" 

The class favorite was the green onions, though the students agreed that everything tastes even better with ranch dressing.
