Welcome to our classroom website.  Check here often for important information regarding Piscataway, Randolphville, and Room 8!
This is my ninth year teaching in Piscataway!  I have taught both first and second grade.  This is my fourth year teaching third grade.  I'm very excited to work with the third graders.  It is my hope that I make their last year at Randolphville a memorable one.  I'm also looking forward to working alongside Mr. Adenau as we embark on a new journey of team teaching.

About Miss Cooper's Education:
I grew up in Central Jersey and attended NJ public schools from kindergarten to twelfth grade.  After high school, I received my BA in English from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut and my MA in Elementary Education from the same university.  I also hold a "Teacher of English as a Second Language" endorsement.  One day, I hope to finish my second master's degree.

Fun Facts About Miss Cooper:
1.  I LOVE to travel and learn about different cultures.  I studied abroad in Ireland and had the opportunity to live there for a semester.
2.  My favorite color is green.
3.  I enjoy going to concerts and broadway plays.  Some of my favorite concerts and plays have been:  Alicia Keys, Coldplay, Beyonce, Jersey Boys, and Mary Poppins.
4.  I enjoy shopping and can never buy just one thing at Target.
5.  I like to read, but really enjoy writing.  I hope to write a book one day.
6.  In fourth grade, I refused to come to school for a day because I was having trouble in math.  Luckily, I had a great teacher who assured me it would all be okay.  And it was.

My Promise:
My classroom is a safe, positive, and fun place to learn and succeed.  I believe that all students are capable of learning when they try their best and use persistence.  I am always here to lend a helping hand and be a good listener.  I expect the students to do the same.  Get ready to have fun, make new friends, and learn lots of interesting things!
